Craziness!! It seems like it is always, always crazy around our house. If it's not Karsen screaming for his "papi" (yes, he STILL has it), me losing my mind, Kooper trying to slosh his little hands in the toilet and be a human vacuum cleaner, or Kris's perpetual procrastination of his dissertation, it's something else!! The good news is....we don't have a newborn to take care of. Kris and I visited some friends of ours this weekend in Meridian who just had a baby last week. The poor thing cried and cried while we were there. After seeing the looks of sheer frustration on his parents' faces, Kris and I were oh so proud that we had SURVIVED those days and that they were already behind us. We felt so bad for them. If only they could see beyone the fog and know that they are going to make it through the sleepless nights and endless crying spells! We love you Josh & Amanda...and baby Ryan!!
Kris had big plans to work on his dissertation this weekend...after all he only has 3 more weekends until he has to present on it at a seminar in Jackson. I hate to report that he did not work on it at all this weekend. Instead, we looked for every reason for him not to...we went to the tree dedication for Pappaw Pat in Sandersville on Saturday, who afterwards treated us to Charlie's Catfish..YUM; we broke out Kooper's birthday present a week early and watched Kooper and Karsen have fun in the Jumpolene; and then, Kris prepared our taxes while the boys and I ate at Pasquales with Jenny, April, Alley, Cole & Caleb!! Of course we could not pass up the Sunday afternoon nap and Superbowl parties either! Where does the time go?????
This week is going to be a crazy one too! Trying to prepare for Kooper's First Birthday is going to be wild. For some reason, I thought I should do the cupcakes myself (with the help of my mom)! I dont know why I try to do too much and stress myself out! Not to mention that it's impossible to keep a clean house with two chillins running wild! But, I will try...
Im posting a few pics of our precious boys playing in the Jumpolene (one of Kooper's bday presents). Sadly, Karsen is enjoying it much better than Kooper.
